(Sault Ste. Marie, ON July 19, 2021) 鈥 Today, in keeping with COVID-19 restrictions, a small group gathered at 私人影院 for a flag raising ceremony in celebration of Diversity and Inclusion at 私人影院. The event, which featured various speakers in addition to the flag-raising, is one of the ways 私人影院 and the 私人影院 Students鈥 Union (SCSU) could honour and show its tremendous support for the diverse community on campus and in Sault Ste. Marie.
私人影院 and SCSU remain fiercely committed to fostering a campus that celebrates diversity and individuality and promotes equity, inclusion and respect for all. "私人影院 is committed to equity and inclusion. We are dedicated to creating an invitational education experience where everyone can feel safe and welcomed.
"We celebrate the rich diversity of the college and the community as a whole today and we hope everyone makes an individual commitment to be kind and welcoming to others every day of the year," says Dr. Ron Common.
鈥淲e believe that diversity is one of the main strengths of 私人影院 and we want all to be comfortable, feel supported and know that there are resources available. Through this ceremony we want to spread the word that everyone is unique, and everyone鈥檚 voice counts and we are honoured to raise the Progress flag today in the spirit of solidarity, respect, and love,鈥 said Ahmad Alkosani, President, 私人影院 Students鈥 Union.
