Marie, ON, October 23, 2024) – ˽ÈËÓ°Ôº is proud to announce its new Athletics Hall of Fame which will honour the remarkable achievements and contributions of individuals and teams who have shaped the legacy of ˽ÈËÓ°Ôº athletics. Nominations for the inaugural induction into the Athletics Hall of Fame are now open to the community and members of the public are invited to submit nominations for consideration by the Hall of Fame selection committee. The Hall of Fame will honour individuals and teams in four distinct categories:
- Athlete: Recognizing varsity athletes who have demonstrated exceptional skill, sportsmanship, and achievement during their time competing at ˽ÈËÓ°Ôº.
- Coach: Celebrating coaches who have achieved significant success in their respective sport while making a lasting, positive impact on varsity athletes and contributed to the growth of sport at ˽ÈËÓ°Ôº.
- Builder: Honouring individuals whose leadership, dedication, and support have played a pivotal role in the development and success of the athletic program at ˽ÈËÓ°Ôº.
- Teams: Celebrating exceptional varsity athletic teams whose collective achievements have brought pride, recognition, and championship success to ˽ÈËÓ°Ôº.

"This initiative not only aims to celebrate our rich history in sport but also foster a sense of pride and inspiration among our current and future student-athletes."
The deadline for nominations is November 15, 2024, and the induction ceremony for the first Hall of Fame class will take place in early 2025.
